Silvia is the beloved wife of Joe Polito for 65 years. She is the loving Mother of Tony Polito (Armanda Polito), Mary Polito, Sergio Polito, Piera Saraiva (Paul Saraiva), Liliana Polito and cherished grandmother of Alissa, Nick (Jenn), Jack (Monica) and Jamie. Dear sister of Vittorio Torchia (Adelina) and Renato Torchia. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She will be forever remembered, loved and deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. PLEASE NOTE: Proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, are mandatory to attend indoor visitations and or funeral services in the funeral home for those age 12 and older. Masks are required.
The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10am at St. Nicholas Of Bari Church, 1277 St. Clair Ave. W. (PLEASE NOTE: On the morning of the service, please make your way directly to the church arriving 20 minutes prior to the service. As you arrive, you will be asked to provide your name and phone number. Due to the restrictions limiting the number of people in the church, once the capacity has been reached no one else will be able to come in).
Private Entombment for the family to follow at Westminster Cemetery, due to the restricted number of people that can attend the service at the mausoleum.
If desired, donations in Memory of Silvia Polito may be made to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care or to Princess Margaret Hospital.
