10 February, 2015. Today I just heard my father, George Barbita just passed away in his sleep in Hospital.  I tried to find your contact number so I could keep my promise and call you, Rudy, when he passed.  Our last meeting was at your mother's funeral.  Your parents and mine were old friends, all passed. Now dear Rudy I hear of your passing.  I am thinking of you all as I remember all of us together.  Love Doreen Barbita

Today is New Years Eve 2013. In 24 minutes, it will 2014. Its almost 2 years since you left us and it still feels like yesterday. we are all doing well for most part and you are always in our thoughts everyday. So Happy New Year and take care.

Today was our first snow fall. Miley hates the cold but enjoyed the snow only if I was outside with her. I took Sophie out for dinner last night and she still wonders about you. If Grampa was here right now,I wonder what he would be doing? We all miss you and you are always in our thoughts.

Hi Rudy, tomorrow is Father's Day and for me it will be a sad day cos you re not here with us to celebrate. Tomorrow will be just be another day without you. 
I will be thinking of you, so Happy Father's Day where ever your are.

I'm thinking about you today and missing our morning chats about anything that came to our minds. It's been over a year and it still feels like yesterday. It is getting better for me each day and the kids have been great. I feel your presence here with me and I still here your voice around me. I had a dream about you the other night and you came back to tell me each day will be better, you'll see. I do believe you and hope that you are watching over us.

Rudy, I forgot to tell you last week, Sophie lost her first tooth. She was so happy that the tooth fairy will be coming to her house. You would have laughed, she  could nt wait to show me. Wish you were here to see it!

Gillian misses you so much Rudy. She's almost finished her Cardiology Technologist course and wishes you were here to see her accomplishments. She now really understands how ill you really were thru this course and has me aware of it too. Andrea has also gone back to school too to further her skills. She is doing well too and also misses you very much.  Sophie, well she will always remember you as her best Grampa. She talks about you all the time when she's with me and tells me how much she misses you too. She's a smart little girl,full of life, you would be proud. and then there's me, well, I miss you too. I think about you a thousand times a day. The days get better and I have accepted that your gone, but not in spirit. I hear your voice, and feel your touch from time to time. I've done many changes in our house and I wish you were here to share it. Well, that's all for now, be happy where ever you maybe and I love you dearly. Christine

My dearest Rudy, today is Andrea's Birthday.  Imagine, she's 37 years old.  Where did the time go?  I wish you were here to celebrate  with us.  Today there is a memorial for all who passed at Jerrett Funeral Home. It's a sad day for me, but as time goes on, things get a little better.  I hope your' re ok where ever you are.  We love you and miss you so much.   Christine

My darling Rudy, on Sunday October 13/2012, Gillian  ran The Scotiabank 2012 42km Marathon. I know you were there watching over her, she could feel you beside her while she was running. I wish you were there with me to share all the excitement of seeing all the runners. I know you are proud of her.  Love Chris

I missed you so much yesterday, that I posed a picture in your Facebook that was taken last year around this time. I shared it with all the people you have on the list of friends. On July 22nd Gillian competed in the 1st Toronto triathlon festival and I know you were ther to cheer her on.  Rudy I hope you are well where ever you may be. Sophie and the dogs miss you. Rudy,I took Sophie yesterday to see her cousins Noah,Chase, Grayson and Kinley. On the way there Sophie told me of a beautiful dream she had. She dreamed that she had her birthday party in her bedroom and grampa was there and he was so happy to see her. Everyone yelled surprise! And you brought her a Hello Kitty cake. Her dream brought tears to my eyes. I hope you are happy where ever you are even if it was a dream.  I love you Christine

Hello Christine, 
Nadia and I often read your posts and we are with you  -praying for strength and God's comfort for you, and for Rudy's peace.  I want to let you know that Rudy is well! I saw him in a dream last night. I don't know how religious you are or Rudy was, but dreams have always had a very powerful place in my spiritual life and my faith... I don't know why but I think it's God's way of telling me things... and I have had some powerful dreams (believe me on this). So, last night I dreamed I was at your house, we were seated at a small round table and you were a bit depressed....  As I told you that "Rudy is not gone, he's all around you Christine", I saw Rudy standing right behind you. He was young, as I remember him; dressed casually, looked very happy and had a big grin on his face!!!! And he was nodding his head  -agreeing with what I was telling you! 
Have faith Christine, Rudy is well and he's looking over you... as always.
We remember Rudy every night in our prayers and also on Sunday at Church.

Truly , just about the nicest guy I ever met. I worked with Rudy for a time in North York.  He always had a good story or joke to tell and never let things get to him. If things got a little tough at work I can still see him; a shrug of the shoulders, a grin, and a "what can ya do? ". You taught me a lot Rudy. You will be missed.

Rudy, I will miss you and the many emails you sent. Also I will always remember the fun and good times we had working together in dispatch.
It was only 3 months, but the fond memories lasted all these years.
