It's  been two years today, since you passed away.  In a way l am still in shock. I love you ❤

My mom passed away on April 25th. I am heartbroken. The death of a parent is beyond one's grasp. One you can never imagine until...

A Tribute to My Mother

I know many from Glamorgan will remember my mom. Especially her Ford Torino muscle car with that unmistakable sound from the duo mufflers revving up the hill. 

Mom took in a few of my friends when things got too intense at their own homes. My mom was generous that way. 

The story of how my mom came to have the same first and last name always got a chuckle.

My mom was one of a kind. Conversations flowed freely and effortlessly with complete strangers. I had witnessed this many times.The smiles and laughter were completely genuine.  

A woman not easily forgotten. She was fiercely independent and taught her children to be the same. My mom taught me to stand up for myself and to never follow blindly. Always ask questions and stand tall. 

Outgoing, brash, funny, interesting, full of stories and unapologetically  lived her life her way!

My mom didn't have an easy life. Both her dad and grandfather died in World War II. Her mother was locked in a concentration camp. My mom's Oma raised her for the most part. The war was very hard on the two women plus the child they raised on their own. The scars remained with them throughout their lives.

When my mom was in her twenties loss would find her again. My father died in a car crash at only 27 years old. My mother was now left to raise two small children by herself. My mom never remarried after my dad. 

Adversity was nothing new and she took on each challenge one by one. I know where my strength comes from without a shred of doubt. This was her gift to me and l am grateful.

Its been over a year since my mom passed. Due to covid and an unexpected complication we did not get to have a funeral for my mom. Heartbreaking.



My Deepest, Sincerest Condolences to my dearest forever best friend Tracey, Brenda, Damien, Grandchildren and all of the Rose family and Mrs Rose's loved ones. I am so very sorry for your great loss. 

Back in the late 70's I would see Mrs Rose often as her home would be our dressing room for our preparation for the evenings festivities. I still hear the sounds of Marvin Gaye that was playing. She admired our youth and Tracey looked up to her fashion, hair, make up expertise, good and bad. She would always tell us to be careful. Have a good time but be very careful and don't do anything she wouldn't do. 

Fly high with the angels Mrs. Rose. Wrap your arms around your loved ones and guide them through this terrible time of mourning such a great loss of a Mother, Grandmother, Family member & Friend. May you all cherish and hold deep in your heart the memories she has distilled in your heart. 

Rest Easy Mrs. Rose till we meet again. Much Love ♥️😘
