In a good life, full of love, death will always arrive too soon. Rita's sense of humor was second to none and she was as compassionate as she was funny. Rita represented the good that we all need everyday in our lives. She was one of the select few who could actually rise to meet challenges with a smile. Forever remembered for her zest of life. Some of Rita's greatest joys involved her love of food, travel, the colour red, music, her cat Zooey, her family and spending time with her tribe "friends". Beauty of the simple human heart...this was Rita.
Rita was predeceased by Bruno Marino (Father), Caterina Marino (Mother) and Vince Marino (Brother). She is survived by her sister Connie Barillari and husband Angelo Barillari, nephew Bruno Barillari and niece Andrea Marino. Will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Kensington Hospice for their care and compassion on Rita's final journey. Dr. Graham who made it possible for Rita to be taken care of at Kensington Hospital. Along with from the Princess Margaret Hospital team 18th floor : Dr. Millar, Dr. Mason, Dr. Van der Meulen, and nurse Maureen Daniels.
