(nee Murphy)
April 11, 1930 – April 13, 2025
It is with infinite sadness that we announce the passing of Pat Greaves on April 13, 2025 in her 95th year. Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband Willis Henry Greaves on October 31, 1992 (married 47 years), her parents Jack Murphy and Gertie (nee Foote) and brother Jack, at the age of 10 months in 1928.
Cherished mother of John, Cathy, Lyn, Jim, Bill, Colleen and Jackie. Beloved sister of Donna Murphy. Dear grandmother to Chris, Phil, Lindsey, Shannon, James, Brianna, Chloe, Michael, Jarrett, Jenna and Jackson, loving great grandmother to Hailey, Jacob, Avaiyah and Colton. Pat is also lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends.
Pat was a long time parishioner of Holy Cross Parish and sang in their choir for many years. She was much admired for her soprano voice and she was often requested to sing at weddings and funerals. Pat raised 7 children, all of whom were baptized and confirmed at Holy Cross Parish. Her generosity and compassion for those less fortunate were evident by her faithful support to many charities and organizations, as well as the years she housed and loved many foster children. A model of faithfulness and strength, Pat nurtured her family with infinite patience and kindness. She would also support the friends of her children with the same kindness and compassion she showed her own children.
Friends may call at The Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave., (Main & Danforth) Toronto on Saturday April 26, from 2pm to 5pm. A Prayer Service celebrating Patricia will be held at the Giffen Mack Chapel on Sunday April 27 at 2pm. (Light refreshments) will be provided at Giffen Mack following the Prayer Service. Interment will be at a later date with Family only. In Pat’s memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Hospital for Sick Children in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
