Murchison "Murchy" Stephen Amoroso

Murchison "Murchy" Stephen Amoroso, age 83, of Toronto, Ontario passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2023, surrounded by his family and surrounded by love. Murchison was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies to the late Miriam and Stephen Amoroso.

Beloved husband of Grace Alison Clarke. Loving father of Analisa, Gregory and Maria. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Karley, Alexander, Jaden and Nathan. Dear brother of Kenneth (Mary). Loved brother-in-law of Arlene. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and his cherished friends.

Murchy was a dedicated teacher for close to 40 years, who was respected by his colleagues and greatly loved and admired by his many students throughout the decades.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Sheppard Centre Dialysis Clinic and to the doctors, nurses, PSWs and health care professionals at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for their care and kindness towards Murchy, especially during his final days.

Friends may call at the Kane-Jerrett North York Funeral Home, (6191 Yonge St. South of Steeles) on Sunday, January 8th, 2023 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Church (75 Churchill Ave.) on Monday, January 9th, 2023 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.
