His kind, sweet, gentle soul will be sadly missed by his son John, daughter-in-law Marilyn, daughter Carmelina, and son-in-law Max. He had great adoration for his grandchildren Vanessa and Jonathan and was extremely proud of his great grandchildren Charlize, Odin, and Autumn. Michele also leaves behind his caring sister Virginia.
Our beloved father has rejoined his soulmate, our dear mother, Elvira, as well as his adored siblings.
Michele lived for his family. His love, devotion and dedication to his family was endless. He left his homeland of Italy at the age of 26 so that he could give his family a better future. His eyes lit up when he spent time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were a source of deep inspiration and pride for him.
Michele had strong work ethics and instilled these in his children. He was very resourceful, often making something out of nothing. He had limited means but his heart was abundant with generosity, often helping his children and extended family members whenever they needed him.
He had a love of gardening and took every opportunity to be in his cherished garden right to the end of his days. He was very proud in sharing the fruits of his labour with family, friends, and neighbours. He was also very intelligent and particularly good at Math. His biggest wish was to further his education in Canada and he stressed the importance of education to his children, providing them every opportunity to excel. Along with his endless devotion to his family, Michele was a genuinely sincere and kind person who leaves behind a legacy found in all those he deeply touched.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Baycrest Hospital for their compassionate care, along with the prayers and support provided by family and dear friends.
