Upon his return to Toronto, he attended St. Cyril's Catholic Elementary school. He attended St. Michael’s College School for his high school years ( 1996-2001). He was extremely active, and his passions from an early age were soccer, skiing, and football. He then attended York University, starting a degree in Kinesiology and playing 2 seasons of varsity football.
Michael loved to ski, and was a fixture at the North York Ski Centre for nearly 20 years, where he shared his passion for skiing as a ski patroller and instructor. Mike valued the friendships and relationships he formed while working in a number of outdoor professions over the years.
