Mary Anne Stables

Mary died quietly in her 91st year in Toronto on August 18, 2021, daughter of Anna and John Fecycz, older sister to Julie and Anna. For more than 65 years she was a devoted and loving partner to her husband, Alec, who died in 2018. She was the cherished mother of Steven, who died in 1974, Robin (spouse Lisa Stables) and Sabrina (spouse Dave O’Connor) and a proud grandmother of Julian, Eamon, Sean, Avalon and Madlen.

Mary lived a full, adventurous life exploring the world with Alec and living in various countries on three continents, but her heart was always at home with her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren and never missed a chance to celebrate their achievements and impart her life learned wisdom. She was known to always speak her mind even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear! Mary was a beacon of strength, of commitment to family and a profound source of generosity and kindness. She will forever be remembered.

In keeping with her wishes, a visitation and service will take place at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto. Visitation on August 23, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a formal service in the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 am.
