We had the pleasure of being Nuala's neighbours for over 15 years. 

She was a wonderful person, always so kind and thoughtful.  
St. Germain Avenue will never be the same without Nuala.

Dearest Nuala 

I see someone else has already called you  a  “firecracker of a woman” which is a perfect description of my memories of you. 

I know I am writing on behalf of your firecracker of your beloved brother Liam, who just adored you, and upon behalf of Mairead and his family, when I agree that you were both a sparkling light and a  fire starter in many lives. 

I remember how much Dad, who just adored you, valued your wit, your opinion, your determination in the face of bad health or circumstances, your family and social mindedness. And as I would also in my own too limited time with you and Daniel in Toronto so many years ago. 

If there is anything else, which I imagine Daniel must be upstairs debating to death, I hope that you will, as usual, as you always remembered to, keep an eye on John, Aidan, Paddy, and extended family. 

Sincere condolences to your wonderful children, grandchildren, to all of your family and friends for such a massive loss which has been felt on both sides of the Atlantic.

We have lovely memories of your final trip to Ireland Nuala.  Thank you for spending time with our children chatting with them and  hearing their stories.  Thank you for writing back when they wrote and for the phonecalls when you remembered their interests and asked how they were doing. They will forever have a picture in their heads of Auntie Nuala in Canada and will remember you with a smile.  Croí isteach 🙏

My condolences go to the family of this firecracker of a woman. From the moment I met Nuala her bright spirit shone.
She was positive, energetic, funny and a great dancer. Will miss her greatly.   

Although I  may have only met Nuala a handful of times, I have felt a part of her life thru my great friend Maeve whom I have been very close with for more than 40 years.  On one of my visits with Nuala, 26 or 27 years ago, she was a wonderful source of advice for my daughter's speech impediment.  She was such a gracious and wonderful woman who will be greatly missed but who will be remembered with such high regard for her love and compassion for all!  Peace and love to the great Grant family. 

God, you guys have had a tough few months. My condolences to you all. The Glackin family are synonymous with Carn. I look at the shop every time that I am in Carn and it brings back such memories. God bless you all and remember grief is just love looking for a home.

I was so sorry to hear of Nualas death. We were in contact over the years by E Mail.She was a beautiful lady. Our condolences to all her family  in Canada.May she rest in Peace.

When we all meet up in New York we shared a room  we would spend half  the time up at night chatting she would fondly tell me all the stories growing up in Carn 
She loved Donegal .

Slán Nuala my lovely sister and friend.  One of my great memories was your delicious chocolate cakes which you made especially for me when you came home on holidays.
We had some wonderful chats and songs and you kept up to date with all Irish and world affairs.

Dearest Nuala, our lives will not be the same without you! I will always remember your kindness and immediate acceptance when I came on the scene 37 years ago, I was from that day considered a member of the family.  Eventually we became sisters in law but that was just icing on the wonderful friendship we had already!
 None of us would have ever imagined losing three treasures from our lives in a space of four months, but I know yourself, Michael and Brigid are up there chatting, singing and catching up with all your loved ones that have been patiently waiting for your arrival home.
Thank you for all the love, support and friendship you have given me over the years, I will miss you greatly my dear friend! Love, Lisa xo

We have so many happy memories of lovely Aunty Nuala. These include all the Grants staying with us in Dublin when we were teenagers. We remember the wonderful hospitality shown by Nuala, uncle Daniel and all your family to us as a young married couple who came to Toronto to visit. More recently,  I travelled with my mother, Brigid, to see Nuala, and the two sisters had a very special time together. Again your family all gathered to welcome us. Mum was always very happy we made that trip. Thinking of Nuala's sisters and brothers at this time and the good times shared together .

Paddy and I will never forget our trip to Toronto  organised by Darragh when we surprised Nuala. We had a great time during our 10 days there,visiting Niagara Falls and meeting all the family. Little did we know it would be our last time to see her.
Nuala loved coming back to Ireland especially to the Church Road and we had many great parties and sing songs while she was here.  She was a lady of many talents but her love of  singing and music was unique. She was the lead in many Operas , musicals and choirs but loved the family parties most of all.

As a child I remember Granny Packie shouting "Big Nuala....Wee Nuala" in the family home on  the Church Road. As the years went on I became Big Nuala and you Wee Nuala.
 
We used to listen to your beautiful singing of "Maggie" at family gatherings. " They say we have outlived our time, Maggie, As dated the song that we've sung, But to me you're as fair as you were, Maggie, When you and I were young" RIP Aunty Nuala

I was very sorry to hear about Nuala.
She was a beautiful and kind woman and I really enjoyed talking and swapping stories with her when I was in Toronto
She was very close to my mum when she was younger in Carn.
Our deepest sympathies to  you Cathleen,Anne,John and Maeve.
