Nonno Mario, as he will be fondly remembered, leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Giovanna.
He will be sadly missed by his sons, Giancarlo and wife Nadia, Mauro and his wife Julie, by his granddaughters Arianna, Katia, Bianca and Alexa. By his sister Maria and her family in Italy, and by many family members and friends.
Mario was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. A proud grandfather, Mario was happiest when cooking his granddaughters favourite meals: barbecue dinners in the summer and his famous polenta.
He and Giovanna loved to travel, be it to Italy, the sunny south, Niagara on-the-Lake or with their beloved St. Fidelis Golden Age club.
Mario was known for his carpentry skills, impeccable garden and outstanding wine. He loved working in his vegetable and flower gardens with Nonna Giovanna by his side. As an avid sports fan and enthusiast, always ready to cheer on his favourite teams.
Nonno Mario was the most decent, respectful and caring man. The best example a family could ask for. He brought so much joy into the lives of many and will be deeply missed. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile and hearty laugh.
