It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luciano Marzano, 81, on March 10, 2013. Beloved husband of 55 years to Anna. Loving father to Mary (Walter) Medina, and Silvana (Vito) DeGiorgio. Cherished nonno to Cristina (Joe) Maggio, Alessandro, Diana, Nadia, and Giulia. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters Gina-predeceased (the late Ralph) Corno, Maria (the late Giuseppe) Sobera, Caterina (the late Umberto) Melchiori, Agnese (Luigi) Venturo, and Olga (Frank) Molinaro.
A City of Toronto employee for 25 years. After retirement, he became known as the crossing guard, “papa Lou”. Friends and relatives will be received at DELMORO FUNERAL HOME, 61 Beverly Hills Dr., (1 light south of Wilson Ave., west of Jane St. 416-249-4499) on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 7-9 pm & Friday, March 15, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at ST. PHILIP NERI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2100 Jane St. (south of Wilson Ave.). Entombment to follow at the QUEEN OF HEAVEN CATHOLIC CEMETERY, 7300 Hwy #27 (south of Hwy #7). Donations in memory of Luciano may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
