Lorraine Brannigan, loving wife of the late John Nelon (Butts) Brannigan and loving mother of Jack Brannigan. Predeceased by her parents, Mr. Edward Mann and Mrs.Sarah Mann and sisters Evelyn Holland, Lil Hynds and brother Warren Mann. She will be greatly missed by her favourite sister-in-law, Ethel Brannigan and her friends, Fran Downey and Norma Swain.
Mom was a determined and feisty woman who valued her independence and fought to keep it during her 8 year struggle with the aftermath of a serious stroke. She never gave up and to the very end retained her sense of humour.
A woman of simple tastes, she had a talent for decorating and dressing in fine style. Throughout her life, she was a good athlete, excelling in 5 pin and carpet bowling. In later years, she was one of the Blue Jay’s most avid fans.
Special thanks to her sister-in-law Ethel Brannigan and her friend Fran Downey for all their support over the years. As well, thanks to the staff in the Dinnick Wing at the Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor for their support and care these past 4 years, and in particular to Louise for her friendship and that extra bit of attention she provided Mom during her stay in the Dinnick Wing.
