JESSOP, KENNETH WILLIAM (1930-2019) passed away peacefully in Toronto on July 17th, surrounded by his loving sons, Kevin and Iain. Ken was raised by his Aunt Phyllis in Toronto. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1953 with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and was active in the Class of 5T3 alumni group for many years. In 1954, he married his beloved late wife, Renee (nee Dario) (1930 – 2000). Ken had a distinguished career with Uniroyal Chemical in Elmira until retiring in 1991. He enjoyed playing varsity soccer and later refereeing local soccer in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, and Kitchener-Waterloo. In his retirement, Ken took pleasure in cruising the high seas, vacationing in Portugal, and sitting on his backyard deck while friends and family came to visit. In addition, Ken enjoyed a special companionship and many good times with the late Anne Mulhall. He also leaves behind his last surviving cousin, Marion O’Brien. Ken will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour and joie de vivre by all who knew him. At Ken’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Ken’s memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
