June,  my friend and confidant.  Missing you terribly. We shared so many days of laughter and fun and tears while baking and decorating . You will always be in my heart.

So sorry to learn of June's passing. For decades she was a trusted advisor on my many cakes, she also was stand in for my grandson's birthday cake when I was away. June was not only an advisor but a friend who greeted me and my family like family. She will be missed.  Have a good rest and say hi to your mom for me.

We have ordered cakes from June over many years. She was always so kind and made a special effort to make things perfect for all occasions. May angels keep her close with loving kindness.  The Whelan Family

Sincere sympathy and love to you Michelle and family on the loss of your dear Mum, my cousin June.  I have happy memories of times spent together with her and my cousins Jeanette and Shirley whilst staying with our grandparents in Brownsdale.  We sadly lost touch in 1961 when I moved to England and other than a holiday to Toronto as a teenager and one with my husband in my late twenties to stay with your Mum, Dad and yourself when you were a young girl, our lives went in different directions.  June busy with her cake business  and family and me making a life for myself and my family here in England.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers on the 27th.  Rest in peace dear cousin xx

So so sorry to hear of your loss. She was one of the warmest, most generous, loving person I've ever met. Always a smile, always so positive, ready to give you a shoulder if you needed. She will be sorely missed. May the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead. 

My dear, beautiful, kind, thoughtful and generous June... you are the one who planted the seed for me to learn how to bake, Thank you. My joyful, loving, brave and compassionate friend June - you always wore a smile and looked for the good in everyone, even when your own days were darkest - Thank you.  I close my eyes and I can see your smile, I can hear your boisterous laughter and I can feel your familiar embrace - Thank you. To your children, grandchildren, to Cherie, to the girls at the bakery and to the rest of your family, my deepest and heartfelt sympathies  to each of you... along with my love and my thanks - Thank you for sharing your precious Mother, Grandmother, and Auntie with the rest of us. June will be dearly missed by many.

It is funny how time slips away,  it only seems like yesterday when the 2 of us met long, long ago in 1957. It was March of that year. My earliest memories  always  include my childhood friend, June. We were 2nd cousins, and June was 6 months younger than me. We grew up in Brownsdale,  Newfoundland, and lived next door to each other.  We were best friends, we were always together, we did everything together, and like all Newfoundland kids growing up in the 1950's, we played outdoors a lot. We kept ourselves busy without any of today's modern technologies. We had our dolls and carriages, we had house set up outside, and we made mud pies, we played hopscotch and all the usual games kids played back then. We even tried our hands at making Rose Petal Fairy perfume once, but that didn't work out. Soaking the petals in a bottle of water, we found out, just wasn't enough, and we couldn't figure out what the "enough " was, so we gave up. We had lots of fun outside, over in Brownsdale's little sandy beach in the summertime and making snow houses, sliding, and skating in the winter.   When June finished Grade 5 her parents moved back to Toronto again to find work.  We got separated for 
years then, June went her way, and I went mine. We lost contact with each other for years. Later June's parents came back home to Brownsdale to live, and a few years back, June's Dad passed, so June came back to Newfoundland, and we got in touch again, and we stayed in touch this time. June came back every summer to see me after that, 3 times one year, one of the times she came that year was because she wanted to go berry picking. We joked that it was expensive berries!   We remained friends with some things changing, and some things staying the same. We were together right from the start, and we were together till the end......... I loved my friend, but she went away!..... Left to Right in picture.... my sister Donna, June, and me.
