KIDD, Sister Judith Ann, IBVM, died peacefully at Presentation Manor, Scarborough, on the 24th day of August 2024, in the ninetieth year of her life and her seventy-third year as a member of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loretto Sisters.) She was predeceased by her parents, Terence Kidd and Marion Buttle. She is survived by her beloved sister, Deborah.
Sister Judy taught in elementary and secondary schools in Guelph, Stratford, London and Toronto. She was always committed to those most in need and took a special interest in students who required extra encouragement, help and attention. She also held several leadership roles in the Loretto Community. With a strong background in Sacred Scripture, Sister Judy was a passionate advocate for social justice; she was also a great lover of the outdoors and of creation in all its beauty. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and were inspired by her.
Friends may call at Presentation Manor, 61 Fairfax Crescent, Scarborough, on Tuesday September 3rd from 9:30am – 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Presentation Manor Chapel on Tuesday September 3rd at 10.30 a.m. Interment at Mount Hope cemetery.
