Joseph Fenech, a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024 at the age of 84.
Born on August 12, 1940 in Mellieha, Malta, Joseph was a man whose love for life’s simple joys touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Joseph had a deep passion for soccer, a sport he cherished and followed with unwavering dedication. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and he was always ready to discuss the latest match, celebrate a good play, or share a memory from his own youthful days on the field. Soccer was not just a pastime for him, but a way of life that fostered connection and community, something Joseph valued immensely.
In addition to his love for soccer, Joseph had a keen interest in horse racing. He was often found at the tracks, whether with friends or family, enjoying the excitement of the races and placing friendly bets. His passion for racing was a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for a good challenge.
But beyond sports, Joseph treasured the simple joys in life – a good meal, a warm conversation, and the company of loved ones. His warmth, sense of humor, and down-to-earth nature made him a friend to all, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Reunited with his beloved wife, Jean (2007), Joseph is survived by his children; Murray and Jamie (Randy), grandchildren; Nick, RJ (Anna), Adam (Ivy), Haylie, Sydney; his legacy lives through his great granddaughter; Nina. He is the cherished brother of Vince (late Mary), Late Esther (late Joe), Vicky (late Rino), late Charles (Krissy), and Doris (Joe).
