It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Richard Lee on August 14th, 2016 at Canterbury Place, surrounded by family and friends in his 95th year. Beloved husband to Rosemary of 59 years. Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews in England.
John served in many different roles during WWII. Joining in 1939 until 1946. He enlisted both in the Royal Airforce and then the Royal Marines, and also took part in the D-Day invasion.
John immigrated to Canada in 1950 and began working at the Independent Order of Foresters. He was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed gardening.
Friends may visit at the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Thursday, August 18th, 2016, from 10:30am until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 11:00am.
