It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pearl (Joanne) Castle. Peacefully and surrounded by family at Lakeridge Health on April 12, 2015, Joanne lost her long battle with heart disease at 79 years of age. She is survived by her husband Walter, her two children Walter (Butch) and Kimberley, daughter-in-law Nancy, grandchildren Alfie, Serena, Shawn, Ryan and Caitlin, as well as several great grandchildren, family and friends.

IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY

If tears cold build a stairway

and memories were a lane,

We would walk up to heaven

and bring you back again.

No farewell words were spoken,

... no time to say good-bye,

you were gone before we knew it,

and only God knows why.

Our hears still ache in sadness

and secret tears still flow,

what it meant to lose you,

no one will ever know.

But now we know you want us,

to mourn for you no more,

to remember all the happy times...

life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten,

we pledge to you today,

a cherished place within our hearts,

is where you'll always stay.
