Dear Barbara -- I am so sorry for your loss. As you know, Janet was like a sister to Ron and I, and someone whose kindness to my mother was simply extraordinary. Coming to know Janet both through the Erindale connection (my brother Ron and Frank McGrath), it was a privilege to develop a personal connection and friendship. Sharing the passion for politics with her myself, I came to admire her relentless emphasis on principle and her genuine concern for the public good. She was a kind spirit, a consummate professional and a good friend. I remember fondly when you and Janet joined a holiday open house in Mississauga and gathered at the piano. May you find comfort and solace in her strong faith and in knowing how many she touched.

Dear Paul:  I was so very sorry to learn of Janet's death.  She will always have a place in my memory for her warmth, her kindness and her lovely laugh.  She visited my family, often, when we lived in Bayfield.  It was always a special time when she was with us.

I was so sad to hear of Janet's death. She was such a kind and decent person -so intelligent, so elegant, and so "together". She was just lovely in every way. My heart goes out to you Paul and to your family and Janet's.  God bless.

Dear Paul, Susan, Barbara and your families. We are all so painfully saddened by your loss.  Janet's caring and kindness were a lasting example to all, and especially to my children. Janet you touched our lives deeply.  I will miss you.

I was very sad to hear of Janet's passing.  My condolences to Janet's family.  The words that always came into my mind about Janet were - A lady.  I think this definition sums her up so well.  " A well-mannered and considerate woman with high standards of proper behavior."  She was also a lot of fun and had a great laugh.

I was very sad to learn of Janet's passing and would like to express thoughts of condolence to Janet's family from Anne and myself.  I have many fond memories of Janet from her time in Ottawa, but most surround the Christmas Party on the Hill.

Paul - I was so sad to learn of Janet's passing. She was an amazing individual - her quick wit was incredible, and her easy laugh was something that I can hear as I write this note. We worked together as volunteers with the Conservative Party and then became friends. Janet was so proud of her outstanding career, as she had every right to be; She was the consumate professional, exceedingly well organized, and the type of person whom you knew could really do absolutely anything. I am at lost for words, I was so saddened to hear of Janet's passing, I can not believe it. I keep thinking about our time together in Ottawa as colleagues and as friends. I have been thinking a lot about all the life lessons Janet taught me. We used to refer to her as the "perfect little woman", she was the entire package. My heart felt condolences go out to Susan and Barbara, Janet was so very proud of her sisters and talked of you both frequently. Paul, although we only met a few times in-person, my thoughts are also with you as well. Heaven has been truly blessed by having such an extraordinary perfect little woman amongst them.

Janet was a valued colleague and outstanding professional who brought judgement,balance and fairness to her her creative work the many times we served clients together. Our time at Advance Planning was one of teams she inspired,solutions she found and due diligence in the clients' interest that was unparallelled. On a personal and collegial basis she was of unfailing good humour,honest and frank exchange and determined integrity and competence. Her untimely passing is sad not only for the outstanding life that was shortened,but for the future joys and happiness she had every right to experience. It was an honour to serve with her,to work along side her,and be in joint enterprise for the years we worked together. The impact she made in her all to short life will live on for many generations of coleagues and professional associates who join her family and friends in admiration for her gifts and gratitude for her time with all of them.

It is with profound sadness that I learned of Janet’s passing. Such a wonderfully vibrant, considerate and fun person will be very dearly missed by so many. It can truly be said that this devoutly spiritual person did good work and made the world a better place. Her laugh can be recalled in an instant; her organization and attention to detail—for an intimate dinner or a Christmas party for hundreds—was legion. I knew her as a Legislative intern and a colleague through the years at Kempton Kingsley Research, Camp Associates Advertising, Angus Reid Group and Ipsos Reid and during those times she made legions of both friends and good memories—and cared deeply for Paul and Barbara and everyone else in her family. Thank you for her earthly presence. Known as “wheel’s up” to many of us, the Lord is very lucky to have just inherited the best EA and scheduler ever.

Paul,  While we have never met, I want you to know that Janet was an outstanding volunteer back in our days of doing PC Tour in the 80's and 90's.  May you take comfort in knowing she helped so many, me included.

Dear Paul, Barbara and Susan:  My heart and prayers are with you.  I was so sad to hear of Janet's passing.  I knew Janet in when we both lived and worked in Ottawa and will always remember her as a kind, caring and loving person.  I count myself as truly fortunate to have known her.

I'm saddened to hear about the passing away of Janet, and to learn of her suffering over the last few years.  My condolences and prayers to Paul and the the Edwards family.  I especially remember discussing her wedding plans, and especially the music for her wedding mass and the attention to detail and care in preparing for her wedding. I also remember her active participation in St. Basil's Parish before her move to her home in the Beaches.  I cannot believe that she passed away at such a young age.

I will always remember her as an intelligent and articulate woman with a zest for her life.

To the Edwards and Dunphy familes: Janet was a shining light of kindness and thoughtfulness and always lived her life with grace. I have been out of touch for a couple of years and  am deeply saddened to learn of her passing. Janet's spirit was uplifting and her generosity to others was unparelleled. I am sorry you have lost such a wonderful family member and I have lost a lifelong friend. Janet was too young and too good to go so young.

We are sending our thoughts and prayers to you Paul, as well as to your mom and dad, and to the Edwards family.  We have enjoyed many conversations and laughter with you and Janet and we will remember these happy times for years to come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Paul, and with his family, as well as the Edwards family at this heart-breaking time.  The world has lost a shining star, as the room would always light up when Janet entered it.  She was a truly beautiful person, whose kind and loving heart, and her larger than life spirit, was shared with so many around her.  Those who were fortunate enough to have met and loved her, are left with an everlasting sense of the good that exists in the world.  She had a way of making you feel as though you were the most important person around.  Though we are so sad that she has moved on to fly with the butterflies, we will listen closely to hear her beautiful voice, as she sings with the angels.  Your struggles are now over love, and you can forever Rest in Peace.

I remember Janet as a very intelligent, articulate, and hospitable person who devoted much time to our church, St. Basil's, as a lector.  

Her death is very sad and tragic,  especially for one so young.
