Hwang Yong Won

She lived with her family of 3 brothers and 3 sisters until she married Myong Hui (Moses) in 1968. They had two loving sons Andy and Paul and then immigrated to Canada in 1975, moving from Edmonton, Alberta to Toronto, Ontario.

In 1979, Moses and Teresa opened a portrait studio and photo shop which later grew to be the professional photo printing company, GTA Imaging. They worked side by side along with their sons and daughters-in-law, foregoing retirement and deciding to keep working with family.

On Thursday, February 8th, 2024, after a short battle with cancer, Teresa passed away peacefully at home.

She is survived by her husband, Myong-Hui Won, her son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Clara Won, her younger son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Patricia Won, her grandsons, Calvin and Alex Won, her granddaughters, Mercedes and Emma Won, her brothers Suk Moon Yoon, Suk Hwan Yoon, Suk Kyu Yoon, and her sisters, Jeong Yong Yoon and Kyung Yong Yoon. She is predeceased by her sister Boo Yong Yoon.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Catholic prayer service from 6:00-7:00 and reception from 7:00-8:00 where refreshments will be served at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto.

The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church, 849 Don Mills Rd., North York.

The burial will be on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON, L3T 2C7

Luncheon arrangements will be announced at the funeral mass.
