Peacefully at the age of 90, Ho Kei Choi passed away on April 17th, 2024, in Oakville, Ontario. Beloved husband of 61 years to Margaret (predeceased). Proud and loving father to his five daughters: Jennifer, Janice (Perry), Kim Paulyn (Sherman), Lisa (Kevin), and Kaylene (Terry). Dearest grandpa to Erika, Jasmine, Michael, Alexis, Andrew, Sarah, Ashley, Matthew, and Ryan. Dear brother to Ho Wing (Mei), Choi Fung Polin, Ho Lam (Dorothy), and Ho Choi (Ming).
Ho Kei was born on October 16th, 1933, in Hong Kong. He studied in Australia where he met his wife and started his family in Hamilton, Victoria. He and his family also lived in Singapore for nine years before making their home in Hamilton, Ontario. He had a successful career as an engineer and a professor.
Kei loved travelling and exploring the great outdoors. He especially enjoyed camping with his family, taking them across Canada and the US. In addition, he liked cooking, photography, tai chi and singing.
A public service will be held on May 11th, 2024, at 11:00 am (ET) and will be streamed online. Public visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on the day of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Hamilton Mountain Citadel.
