Giovannina Sacco

Giovannina peacefully left this world on July 12, 2024, at the age of 94.

Born on December 4, 1929, in the quaint village of Motta Santa Lucia, Italy, Giovannina was the cherished daughter of late Lorenzo Stranges and late Concetta Pasquzzi. Sister of Adeladia, Orlando, Isotta, Leone, Rita.

Giovannina was a devoted wife to the late Nicola Sacco and a loving mother to her children: Francesco Sacco and his late wife Eleonora Sacco, Maria Filomena Bonadio and her late husband Michele Bonadio, Giulia Villella and her husband Andrea Villella, and Lorenzo Sacco.

Doting grandmother to Bruno, Nicky, Johnandrew, Teresa, Elizabeth, Marco, Brittany and Joshua. Her legacy includes seven great-grandchildren: Francis, Michael, Matthew, Julian, Biagio, Francesco and Chiara.

Her days were filled with the joy of gardening, the comfort of cooking delicious meals, and the pleasure of spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her warm smile as she greeted neighbours from her front porch and her love of hanging plant flowers on her veranda. These activities brought her immense joy and comfort, and her presence always warmed the hearts of those around her.

Giovannina's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. From her early days in Italy to her new beginnings in Canada, she embraced each moment with grace and strength. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

Family and friends may visit the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin), on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clare Church, 1118 St. Clair Ave. W.

Please note, on the morning of the mass, we ask that you make your way directly to church, allowing the family private time.

Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W. Toronto.
