George "Tenny" Francisco Francis, a beloved husband, father, mentor, and friend, departed from this world suddenly on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, at the age of 55, due to cardiac arrest. Tenny was a beacon of love, strength, and compassion. His infectious smile and unwavering positivity touched the lives of all who knew him.
As a dedicated member of the Liuna Local 183 union, Tenny dedicated over two decades of his life to carpentry, framing houses. Mentoring young carpenters brought him joy as he shared his passion and knowledge of the industry.
Survived by his loving wife Stacy and their daughters Samantha and her partner Sean, Jenika and Georgia, as well as his children Thelome (Timmy), Tenisha and Treanna, his mother who is best known as Pee, his brother Peter (Junior), his sisters Mervis (Marjorie) and Princess.
Tenny was a strong father figure and his encouragement and guidance have touched so many of the youth in our extended family and community. Many consider him to be like a father to them, a testament to the impact he had on the lives he touched.
A funeral service to honour Tenny's life will be held in Toronto on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home. Visitation will commence at 1 pm, followed by the service at 3 pm.
Tenny will be laid to rest in his homeland of Jamaica, in the family plot nestled in the picturesque hills of Blue Mountain.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support received from friends, family, and the community. The cherished memories, kind thoughts, and comforting messages serve as a source of solace as we navigate through our grief.
