Francesco Manna was a passionate man, his main passion was his loving ability to take care of his family. Four daughters that loved him dearly, and near the end tried to make him as comfortable and as happy as possible.
Francesco was a man of simple pleasures, gardening, cooking and talking about "the old days". He absolutely loved to watch family and friends gather around and eat the food he had prepared, bringing Sicilian recipes from way back, then reminisce on days past.
Our father did not have an easy life but he made it better in so many wonderful ways. His simplicity brought out not only the best in himself but in his children as well, he instilled good old fashioned morals in his girls that lead us to follow in his footsteps to live a better life.
He was undeniably a good soul with a heart of gold, kind and gentle. He was a guiding light to many of us, a go to person when you needed something and an easy ear to talk too. Our father was and always will be a tremendous part of who we are, an inspiration and now a piece of the puzzle that will forever be missed.
Francesco leaves behind four daughters Domenica, Anna Maria, Francesca and Lorenza, four growing grandchildren Gabrielle, Samuel, Nicola, Angelo and a new grandchild he will unfortunately not meet but we believe will somehow cross paths. His son in laws cherished sitting around the table playing cards and the chats, Domenico, Danny and Salvatore will miss him greatly, he is now playing "Scopa" with his late son in law John. Our dad loved nothing more then to talk about his days in the Military and Sicily but his siblings were his heart, when he spoke of them his faint smile would appear on his handsome face. He will now get to see his dear missed brother Girolomo and look down upon Liborina, Salvatore, Giuseppe and his baby sister Gina, even though oceans apart they were all very close at heart. Near the end of his journey his only wish was to be able to see again, to be able to witness his family growing in front of him. This man is and always will be loved by his family and anyone he has come across in his beautiful wondrous life.
We love you daddy and we will undoubtedly miss you all of our days.
