On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, Mrs. Bette Dawson of North York On., passed away in her 102nd year. She is preceded by her Mother and Dad (Rose and Billy) and her three brothers Les, Don and Phil. Predeceased by her husband, George and son, Robert. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Dawson-Ryan and son-in-law Brian Ryan, nieces, nephews and their families. Great-Great-Great Aunt Bette was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to Toronto in the late thirties. President of the Willowdale 5 Pin Bowling Club for many years and a pioneer member of the Willowdale Lawn Bowling. Being a country girl at heart, Bette will always be a lady to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. A special thanks to Mary, Lebette and the NE staff at Bayview Extendicare for their kind loving care. A service will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St. (South of Steeles Ave.) North York on January 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. Donations may be made in Bette’s name to the Animal Protection Group of your choice.
