Ann Hamilton was a valued member of the VWA at Victoria University in the University  of Toronto for 15 years.  Even with mobility issues and terrible winter weather,  she made every effort to join us.  She was always interested in the talks and  happy to join us.  We shall miss seeing her. Thank you, Ann. Rest in peace.

Cynthia was a very close to my parents, so close that they asked her to be my Godmother, which she gladly accepted. She always encouraged me to be all that I could be when I went to University. We stayed in touch over the years and always looked forward to getting my Christmas and Birthday cards frim her.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of Ann. Please accept my sincere condolences. 
Ann regularly attended my weekly cultural programs for seniors at the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre in Toronto and I had the pleasure of knowing her for 7 years. 
Ann lit up a room as soon as she entered it. She was always elegantly dressed, with a smile on her face, and a story to share. Her artistic background and talents were apparent, from acting in a theatre workshop, singing at our concerts, participating in a writing workshop, or dressing up for our annual Purim Cabaret (photo attached). 
One of Ann's long-time friends, Margaret Urpecz, who has known Ann for more than 25 years through her church, asked me to extend her sincere condolences to your family as well. 
Ann made many good friends at our community centre, and she will be dearly missed. 
May her memory be a blessing.

I was so very sorry to learn about the passing of Ann Hamilton, Dame Ann Hamilton, as she once reminded me.  A strong supporter of the Royal Commonwealth Society, I came to know here when I was invited to be a keynote speaker at an RCS Garden Party, and to know her a bit better, when later, I became Chair of the Toronto Chapter - to which she was a member.  I will always remember our long chats, her energetic commentary, her pleasant smile and her challenges with WheelTrans!  I wish I had known her when she was a younger person and more readily able to join in all events.  However, the times that we did have contact were fulsome, and it was a pleasure to have spent time with her.  My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.  May she Rest in Peace.

Thank you for all the fond memories of your visits to us in the United States.  As you predicted when I was a little boy, eventually, I became a dancer.  I studied liturgical, modern and West African dance styles in my 20s and 30s. I tried to learn the piano, but the only keyboard that caught my interest was connected to a computer.  Spending time with you when I visited Canada in the late 1990s was an experience my friends and I will not forget.  Your travel stories, kind words and timeless wisdom will forever be a part of my life.

I recall visiting my Auntie Cynthia when I was little girl. We went to the amusement park and when we went to her home, she showed me some keys on her piano and played a jingle! She was so kind and had a great sense of humor. 

When she visited us in the States, she shared many of her experiences of travelling abroad as well as photos of herself wearing a kimono. She was stylish and had lots of flair!

I will miss her truly, and she will always be in my heart...

I recall visiting my Auntie Cynthia when I was a little girl. She was so kind and funny!  We went the amusement park as well. She showed me some notes on the piano and she played a short jingle. She had amazing style and flair! She was articulate and well-travelled. I enjoyed listening to her many stories about her experiences abroad, when she visited us in the States for Thanksgiving. I also loved the photos that she shared, wearing her kimonos!

She will be missed but will remain in my heart forever...

My cousin Cynthia will  be remembered for her exceptional musical ability and her love for fashion. Always impeccably dressed she took particular care in her appearance.  Her love for travelling took her to many exotic places including St. Kitts, her birth place. She surprised us by stopping by on a Caribbean cruise a few years ago.  

Today  we say our final goodbye to Cynthia.  May her soul rest in eternal peace.
