Andre will always be fondly remembered by me and especially by my boys. He was the very first Santa they ever met and he went out of his way to gather information that Santa might know before they met. He was such a kind, sweet and funny guy and we'll miss him and his dry humour so much. He will be deeply missed. May his memory be a blessing. 

I was very saddened to hear of the great loss of our friend Andre (to us "Ange").  Andre was one of a kind -- heaven broke the mold when he was born. Like many of his friends, I learned some of the most colorful parts of my vocabulary, in both official languages, from Ange when we worked at the Ministry of Environment.  He had an uncanny ability to characterize everything in a unique and humorous way - he was a true blue Canuck philosopher who would have gotten along with Charlie Ferguson or Will Rogers.  I wish I had had a few more minutes with him, but that's always the way when a guy with such a huge personality passes away.   He  will be forever remembered by his friends and family for all his outstanding and endearing traits.

Sending you my heartfelt condolences  during this devastating time.  
I feel blessed to have known Andre (or Ange as we often called him). You could always tell when he was in a room, because you would hear laughter and feel the positive energy buzzing within it. Morning tea was the best with Ange. He would read Lettermen’s top ten list from the daily newspaper to all of us around the sport fish table, dispensing his own witty remarks alongside. Ange was a proud family man, always speaking so warmly about his young bride and sweet daughter.  He had this way with making new members of the sport fish unit feel immediately at home. I truly believe Ange will live forever in the hearts of so many because of all the vibrant memories he left behind. It is with much sadness at most difficult time that I hear of Andre's passing. So many memories over so many years! From  annual children's Christmas parties ( and WRB Xmas parties) to bridge games to humorous chats and  witty words of wisdom dispensed freely, Andre was a friend to us all. Andre was passionate about his work in the Sport Fish Unit and environment; he cared deeply for the world we live in. Andre is greatly missed,

We will miss you very much uncle Andre. We will miss all our intellectual conversations and funny memories of Matthew being a pain in the butt. We were really looking forward to celebrating with you on our wedding day, and I knew you were looking forward to Alessia walking down the isle as our flower girl. The last time we saw you we were all out for breakfast and you were so excited to eat some pancakes! Have some for us in heaven and give auntie carol a big hug and kiss from us! We love you. 

Dearest Jessica, Paul and Alessia...I can only offer you my love and deepest,  heartfelt condolences upon the loss of your beloved father.  Andre was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humour and was a "man of letters".  I will remember him with love and respect. I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Andre. He is one of the remarkable people that I have met. He was full of energy, humor, knowledge and love.  His friendship with his colleagues was genuine. He used always to check, care, pray and ask. My deepest condolence to Jessica and the rest of the family.

It was terrible to learn to about passing away of Andre. Andre was full of life and lived life a king size.  His popularity at the workplace was eye popping to me right on my first day at the job when he took me around the complex to introduce to other co-workers. In no time I found the reason for this – he was just magical!  He indeed created magical moments for many kids as he was a natural Santa. But I was one of the lucky ones who had a pleasure of having the Santa around year-round. His magic of creating a lively, fun-filled workplace was dearly missed when he retired. We were lucky to receive doses of his killer smile and humour through periodic breakfast gatherings. It is heartbreaking that we were planning a lunch together but couldn’t happen due to COVID-19. Ange, as we used to call him, was a history book for our monitoring program. He made great contributions in protecting health of people who love eating Ontario fish. He taught many invaluable work and life related lessons. I regularly use his quote “… as clear as mother’s milk” in my presentations.  It’s too bad, Ange, that our plan of selling tickets for Leafs Stanley Cup victory parade could not be materialised.  Rest in peace, Andre, knowing that you will remain alive in numerous hearts.

Our deepest condolences to Jessica and family.  Ange was a military man, a sports fan and a best man.  He was a work colleague, a bridge partner, a Santa Claus and a family man.  Most of all he was a great friend and soulmate.  We will miss him dearly.

Orange Crocs at work.  Now for the actual memory. One day at 125 RR we had a Jeopardy style quiz contest in the auditorium. I am a  little foggy on the species (were we broken into smaller groups? EMRB vs LSB, etc.). I would bet big money that everybody in that auditorium had a vast amount of knowledge. Two people, however, were definitely above the rest. The game boiled down to Andre vs. John Carron in a showdown. There was no way either of the two was going to miss an answer, or question as it is in Jeopardy.

Dear Jess and Family, my deepest condolences on the loss of Andre. He was by far one of the largest personalities I have ever met. I can remember my very first day at the office, in 2007, when I interviewed for my first ministry job...the first thing he said to me was "If you ever wear a tie to work again, you're fired!"... i was terrified...but quickly saw through the big voice to the softer heart behind it.  Andre was always full of stories, and I learned a great deal from the time I spent with him, not only facts about the work, but also dealing with stress, and keeping my head on straight. To this day, I think of him often, and still share some of his jokes with others. He will be missed by all those who knew him. I will end with one of his popular quotes from around the office and say "Thanks for a job...DONE!"  Rest well Ange!

For many of us, Andre touched our lives and those of our children.  It was heartwarming to hear the many laughs and screams that we heard when our very own Santa walked into the auditorium to welcome kids at the office Christmas Party. He would pick out a kid and reveal some details only Santa could know about, making the experience all the more magic.

So very sad to receive this news.  Deepest condolences to the entire  family.  We worked with Andre our entire careers and greatly loved his stories and jokes. He always kept us entertained and made everyone feel welcome.  He was so dedicated to the science of environmental protection and was always so passionate about the sports fish monitoring program and the great contribution it made to protecting the environment and people of Ontario.
