Allan Hartland Spence

February 22, 1932 - November 18, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Bob (Allan) Hartland Spence on November 18, 2022, peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Audrey Carmela Spence of 66 years. Bob leaves behind his three daughters Linda, Debbie (Jim), Gail (Steve) and his son Allan (Vicki), as well as eight grandchildren, Michelle (Jason), Michael (Rachel), Kassidy, Nicholas, Anne, Nathan, Hannah and Jeremy. The grandchildren were followed by six great-granddaughters Elizabeth, Sophia, Arianna, Aubrey, Madison and Adrianna, the youngest whose name was given as a tribute to her great-grandmother Audrey.

After leaving his home town of Montreal Bob spent the majority of his working career at Pilkington Glass/AFG Glass in Scarborough perfecting his craft as a Pipefitter/Millwright. He was the ultimate “fix it guy” repairing everything from lawnmowers to toasters.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Sandra Marcus and the staff of the Medicine and Palliative care units at Scarborough General Hospital for their care.

Bob will be greatly missed by all his children, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Bob’s memory to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.

A visitation for Bob will be held at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough on Thursday, November 24, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Service will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday, November 25, 2022 in the chapel. Following the service internment will be held at Christ the King Cemetery at 7770 Steeles Ave. East, Markham.
