William J. Troisi, 95, of Holiday City South in Berkeley Township, passed away on Wednesday May 3, 2017. Born in Brockton, MA, he lived in North Bergen, NJ for over 30 years before moving to Berkeley Township 31 years ago. William was a US Army veteran having served in World War II. He worked as a sheet metal layout mechanic for 44 years. He competed as a gymnast in high school and continued to compete at West Point and Annapolis well into his 30’s.
William was predeceased by his wife Estelle “Stella” in 2016. He is survived by two sons; William P. Troisi and Robert Troisi; two daughters, Regina Troisi-Holley and Patricia Kornas and her husband Stephen; his brother Ernest Troisi; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephen, Andrew, Briana, Perry and Julia and one great-grandchild Scarlett Marie.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday May 6, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Quinn-Hoppijng Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. There will be visiting hours on Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation P.O. Box 1848 Longmont, CO 80502.
