Walter Osterwald, age 58, a resident of Toms River passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Kimball Hospital in Lakewood. He was born October 27, 1961 in Hoboken to Walter and Florence Osterwald. He was a graduate of Union Hill High School and attended Hudson County Vocational School. Walter worked as a self-employed mason and always enjoyed working outdoors. Walter, affectionately known as “Wally”, enjoyed living life to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing with his father and friends, riding his motorcycle, watching football, spending time with family and friends, and spending time with his daughter, Leah. He enjoyed his time living in Alabama where he was a fan of the University of Alabama’s football team. Wally had a wit and charm about him that captivated everyone he met. He was kind, generous, and always willing to help others. The love he had for his family was first and foremost. The love we share for Wally will remain in our hearts forever.
Wally is survived by his adoring daughter Leah, and sisters Cheryl Bolinger and Lisa Morrell, bother-in-laws Roy Bolinger and Anthony Garuccio, and nephew Stephen Morrell, and nieces Kristin Bolinger and Lauren Ryan, and great nieces Colette and Gabriella Ryan.
