Shawn Louis Bowles, 27, of Toms River, NJ passed away Monday, May 15th. He was born to Darius and Lisa Bowles on April 23rd, 1990 in Red Bank, NJ. At a very young age, Shawnie’s love for cars and fixing things grew from working alongside his dad. In his last moments even, he was working and doing what he loved.
Shawn dedicated his life to Jehovah in July 2004. Shawn always displayed his zeal for Jehovah even as a young boy giving talks, being out in the ministry and helping anyone that needed it anyway that he could. His sincere, kind heart was evident to everyone he met. He enjoyed his many winter trips to the mountains to snowboard, had a passion for photography and drawing, and of course his biggest love…all things cars! He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, grandson and friend. His smile and goofiness always made the party complete….unless he was hungry and in that case he was just ‘hangry’. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers or floods of tears, tune-up your car and check the air in your tires…Shawn would’ve wanted that.
He is lovingly remembered by his parents Darius & Lisa Bowles, sister Chane Clark and her husband Quincy, Darius Bowles Jr and his wife Amber, sisters Jalisa, Jazel & Janay Bacon, grandfather Fred Bowles, great grandmother Edith Blake, grandmother Brenda Bacon and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank all for the tremendous outpouring of love and support from those close to them, and even those they didn’t know whose lives Shawn touched. They can not put into words how much all your kind words, stories and favorite memories of Shawn have comforted them in this difficult time.
There will be a public viewing on Friday, May 19th from 4-7pm, and a memorial service on Saturday, May 20th at 1pm. All services will be held at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St, Toms River, NJ 08753.
