Born in Newark, he resided in Piscataway before settling in Brick and Toms River many years ago.
Prior to retiring, he was a Machinist and most recently worked at Tamarak Golf Course. Rocco was a volunteer firefighter while living in Piscataway and honorably served our country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 129 in Toms River.
He was predeceased by his son, Rocco; his grandson, Daniel; his parents, Rocco and Angelina; his siblings; his mother-in-law, Nani; his sister-in-law, Ann; and brother-in-law, Augie.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Grace; his daughter, Denise Cioffi; his son, Anthony Cioffi and his wife Vickie; his daughter, Maria Bollaro; his daughter-in-law, Murina Bollaro; eight grandchildren: Justin (Ana) Falcone, Christian Robert, Dina (Cathleen) Filippello, Nicole (Jerry) Troncoso, Maria (Jason) Fidalgo, Alyssa (Michael) Cooney, Gianna (Kevin Earley) Bollaro, and Adrianna Bollaro; nine great-grandchildren: Presley, Andi, Isabella, Mason, Ava, Giovanna, Arianna, Lilianna, and Tristan.
A visitation will be held at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 from 9-11AM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11AM.
