My dear friend Bob welcomed me into his home with open arms, always made me feel  a part of his wonderful family. 

A hardworking, dedicated man who would do anything to help anyone who needed it. 
Full of laughs, stories you would have to hear to believe. 

A true one of a kind, I will miss you Bob and cherish our wonderful memories together.

Bobby was a unique individual. He had the ability to endear himself to whoever he met. We've been friends since we were 15 or 16 years old and even though we had drifted apart over the years, once we reconnected it was like we had never lost touch, I'm just sorry that it didn't happen sooner. I'm gonna miss you buddy.

How I'll miss his laughter.  Bobby had a giant, genuine heart of gold.  King of the one-liners, a poet, storyteller, and, most importantly, a great father and husband.  I know because he was my friend.  I knew his heart which he wore on his sleeve. 

Bobby was the kind of guy who'd go out of his way to help you or cheer you up when he just knew you were down.    Make you laugh, make you hopeful.  He had ideas floating around in that head of his that were solid gold, too.   

And funny?!!!   Never shared laughs with anyone in my life like I did with Bobby Dykeman.

He was a Renaissance Man for our times.  Knowledgeable, poetic, lyrical, patriotic, of great skill and faith.   And, as anyone who ever shared a beer with him will tell you, a walking rock and roll encyclopedia.

I will miss you, my friend, till the day we meet again.  

"Hey, so this little Irish guy runs into a saloon and says to the bartender, 'Quick, set me up eight beers!'"



You were a one of a kind, Bobby, and I am honored to have been your friend.

I remember years ago , Bobby, Billy , and myself hanging out at the tip top cabins.. and just having a wonderful time laughing,  telling jokes.. it was really a good memory for me... I have talked with Bobby on the phone, being out of state, over the years , and just sharing with each other what we were up to ,  and how things were going.   I don't think I ever heard him run out of ideas LOL... I did get to see Bobby ,last year,  when I came up to Jersey, and it was nice visiting with him.. catching up, with who we knew.. and hearing some funny stories , as usual LOL..  My condolences are too his entire family ...in my heart,  I know he's going on to a much better place.. where he will have all the happiness for eternity... see you there Bobby....

Bobby was my best friend in high school. We were so tight that we use to tell everyone in school that we were cousins even though we really weren't. I'm going to miss him.  I'm going to miss his humor and how he would always make me laugh. He had a special gift of bringing joy and laughter to everyone's life through his comedic humor. He was the best and everyone who knew him was better off for knowing him. Bobby just had that gift of making everyone's life around him  just a little bit better. I am so proud to say that Bobby was my friend and that I am definitely better off today for having known him and for having him as my friend. R.I.P. my friend and thank you for all the good times and all the fond memories we shared. You will never be forgotten. I can still hear your patent " Moo!" Echoing in my ear. I will never forget you my friend and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for touching my life with happiness and joy.

2018 Fathers Day- Bobby and I went to do a beer run at spirits on Bridge Ave. When we were leaving, we drove down in front of the dollar store to make a left onto Bridge Ave.  In front of us, a car cut in front of the guy in front of us. So he honked his horn as the guy who cut him off , was blocking traffic.  The guy who cut in line heard the horn blowing and got out of his car and started yelling at the guy honking his horn.  Bobby wouldn’t have that so as they were yelling, Bobby screamed SHUDUP!!!SHUDUPPPPP!!
People down at stop and shop heard the commotion ( we were pointing  to the air in back of us) and a crowd started to gather while Bobby continued to scream “Shadddduuuppp. Get in your car!!! Get in your car and Shadduppp!!!”
It was loud and even more people  came out to see what was going on.  We laughed as the two guys in front sped away and the people in front of Stop and Shop  still stood there ,  wondering what had just happened . Classic (he did shout very loud and kept on saying Shaddup!! ) Until the guys left!!! We laughed and laughed, looked at each other and said “happy Fathers Day!!”

I went to School with Bobby he was a funny guy and liked to have to have fun. We used to pass in the hallway and say Hi to each other and had some classes together he was a GREAT GUY.  Sorry to hear about his passing he will be missed. 🙏🙏🙏🙏😢❤️‍🩹

About Mr. Robert Dykeman! Well I must admit that Bob was definitely a unique bird! And I recall him asking me how to catch a unique bird? And I quote"You nique up on him"!!!!!!!! That's my  friend Bob!   You surely will be missed by myself and many others. Love ya Bob, and always will! Your dearest friend "Conga Ken"
