Richard L. Kulesa, 47, of Sicklerville, died Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Jefferson Health-Washington Township Hospital in Sewell, NJ after a brief illness. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, Rick lived in Sicklerville for almost 40 years.
Rick worked as a Patient Service Representative for Virtua Health System in Cherry Hill. He was also active in the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) for many years. As a child, Rick was cast in “All My Children” as well as commercials for Kodak and Florida tourism. As an adult, Rick was a background actor for the “Sopranos” and several movies including “Invincible”, “Spiderman”, “American Gangster”, “Glass”, “Safe”, and many others. Rick also wrote his own screenplays and worked on independent film projects. Rick graduated Rowan University with a bachelor’s degree in history and Rutgers University with a master’s degree in education. He loved history, music, film and theatre, storytelling, photography, and making people laugh.
Mr. Kulesa is pre-deceased by his father, Richard J. Kulesa and is survived by his mother, Bridget Kulesa (Harrington), brother, Sean Kulesa, sister, Katie Fanslau (Kulesa), her husband, Jonathan Mark Fanslau, three nieces, Constance, Sophia, and Juliet, and a large extended family and close friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 12pm - 3pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
