AGE: 96 • Formerly of Spring Lake
Richard L. Jacques, age 96, of Madeira Beach, FL. and formerly of Spring Lake, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Tampa, FL. Born and raised in Jersey City, he later resided in Irvington and Spring Lake before moving to Madeira Beach, Fl. in 1992. In his youth, he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and later supervised parts manufacturing for the military during WWII. He worked for Haug Die Casting, Kenilworth, NJ for many years before his retirement in 1990. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Toms River. Mr. Jacques was a devoted and hard-working family man.
He was predeceased by his wife Rose Duerscheidt Jacques, a son Richard Jacques Jr., and two brothers Frederick and Robert Jacques. He is survived by his son Robert Jacques and his wife Lois of Toms River and Madeira Beach, Fl., and his two daughters Mary Ann Dolan and her husband Robert of Toms River, and Dr. Patricia Jacques Emmanuel and her husband John of Tampa, Fl. He is also survived by eight loving grandchildren: Robert Jr. and Christopher Dolan, Kate Jacques Uniowski, Robert and Andrew Jacques and Jacqueline, William and Elizabeth Emmanuel. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be held Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Richard's life will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's R. C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River.
