Regina H. Montanez

Regina Helena Montanez, 79, of Manchester, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil to the late Alfio & Lais Azevedo, Regina moved to the United States in 1967. Regina moved through NJ before settling in Manchester 14 years ago. She was an Executive Assistant for the Affinity Credit Union in Basking Ridge, NJ for many years until her retirement in 2008.

Regina was very passionate about her family, singing, celebrating her loved ones birthdays, traveling and community involvement within their senior development. She loved helping others and will be missed by all who knew her.

Regina was predeceased by her grandson Jose Montanez III, her son in law Michael Finn and is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jose, her devoted children; Claudia David and her husband Mark, Marcia Finn, Jose Montanez II and his wife Kristine, Saul Montanez and his wife Jennifer, her grandchildren; Evan, Adreanna, Kyle, Jacqueline, Liam, Kevin, Gwyneth and Tristan. Also surviving are her four siblings; Homero Azevedo and his wife Idalette, Marco Antonio and his wife Glaucia, Elizabeth Azevedo and her longtime partner Claudinei and Alexandre Azevedo and his wife Sandra and a host of loving nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4-8 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ. A celebration of Regina's life will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia, NJ at 11:00 am.
