Michael Louis Colangelo Jr.

He was born in Yonkers, N.Y. October 30, 1975 to Geraldine (Duffy) Colangelo and Michael Colangelo, Sr.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Mary and James Duffy, paternal grandparents Frieda and Louis Colangelo, aunt Patricia Kraft, uncles Michael J. Duffy, Dennis Bliss, James Barysh.

He is survived by his mother Geraldine and father Michael Sr. of Barnegat, his brother Matthew, sister Maureen (Daniel Fleming), brother Patrick (Fletcher York), his nieces and nephews Rylan, Katarina, Kayla and Declan, all of whom he adored. Michael was the beloved godfather to Rylan Fleming and Aiden Bliss. He will be loved and missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Michael grew up in Barnegat N.J. and was a 1994 graduate of Southern Regional High School. He was a loyal and skilled employee for Proven Contracting, Toms River, NJ and most recently employed by ABC Building Supply, West Creek, NJ. Throughout his youth he excelled at baseball, hockey and swimming. Later on in life, his interests favored playing guitar and flying radio-controlled aircraft. Recently, he found solitude in tending to his plants and flower garden. Michael was a kind, loving person, adored by his large family, always cheerful and first to step up when help was needed. Skilled with his hands, he could accomplish anything he set his mind to. Michael was a natural born protector and may he continue watch over those he loved.

A “Private Family Moment” will be held for the immediate family. A “Celebration of Life” gathering will be held in the future for extended family and friends to honor his memory.
