Mary Kate Regan, age 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the home she shared with her daughter and son-in-law in Toms River, NJ. Born in Ballagh, Newtownforbes, County Longford, Ireland, she came to the United States in 1939 and lived in New York before moving to New Jersey with her family in 1962. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary also worked at Georgian Court College for several years.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Jeremiah Regan, her brother, Patrick Prunty, and her sister, Elizabeth (Liz) Hoey. She is survived by her sister, Theresa (Tessie) Kiernan and her children: Maureen Dickson and husband, John; Jeremiah Regan and wife, Cindy; Kathleen Keller and husband, Urs; and Kevin Regan and his sons, Rory Regan and William Regan, and their mother, Ellen; and her other grandchildren, Sandra Keller, Michael Keller, Jeremiah P. Regan, Patrick Regan, and Jennifer Montano; and 6 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She is also survived by her loving niece and nephew Maura Byrne and Sean Hoey.

Visitation will be held from 7 – 9 PM on Friday, February 7 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Burial will be private. Condolences may be made by visiting www.andersonandcampbell.com.
