Louis P. Bargone

Louis P. Bargone, age 97, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on December 5, 2024, at the Complete Care at Green Acres facility in Toms River, NJ. Louis was born on July 18, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY as the son of the late Ippolita and Frank Bargone. Louis was a resident of Holiday Heights for the last 27 years. Always active in his community clubhouse, he was affectionately known as, “Mr. Coffee.” He enjoyed playing Bocce and his morning walks with the Walking Club. He was instrumental in orchestrating the addition of a new kitchen in the Clubhouse, and he cooked for the monthly Bingo program. Father of the late Matthew and Carl Bargone, he is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Christina; their children, Louis Bargone and Diane Santomauro; his grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Santomauro, and Vincent, Michael, and Alyssa Bargone; and a a great-grandchild, Carina Santomauro. Visitation will be on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in the St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08757. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
