Born in Surat, India, she resided in California for most of her life before settling in Toms River 8 years ago.
Prior to retiring, she was an elementary school teacher and taught at the St. Xavier's School in India. Lily also worked as a contractor for the Navy at the Military Ocean Terminal in Bayonne. She was an avid photographer and a gardener, with flowers and trees spreading the lengths of her yard. Lily loved to cook and feed her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her two brothers: Joshua and Michael Gima; and her nephew: Hemant Upadhyaya.
Surviving are her children: Neena Critelli and her husband Joseph, and Nitin Daniels and Kelly Daniels; her grandchildren: Jennifer, Kimberly, Kevin, Brendan, Ashley, and Sierra; her great-grandchildren: Layla, Liam, Riley, Scarlett, and Jackson; her sisters: Jordan and Esther; and her children's father: Arlen.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 4-8PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A funeral service will be held in conjunction with the visitation at 6:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lily's name to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, www.nami.org.
