John "Jack" Joseph LaFalce, Jr., age 67, of Toms River, passed away at Community Medical Center on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Born in Newark, NJ, on July 26, 1955, he lived in Hazlet and Howell Township before moving to Toms River Township in 2017.A varsity football lineman for Raritan High School, Jack shared the field with many lifelong friends and received a sports scholarship to St. Mary of the Plains College. Jack worked at Smiths Trucking before spending most of his career at Emery Worldwide as a dock worker and driver, finishing his career with NJ Transit as a CAM in Bayhead, NJ. He had a strong passion for all types of cars, especially Cadillacs, which he enjoyed driving in his free time. Jack was a proud Pop-pop and loved spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends.John is preceded in death by his parents, John, Sr., and Maryann LaFalce, and brother Jamie LaFalce. Surviving him are his beloved wife of 37 years, Laurie LaFalce; two sons, John LaFalce and his wife Jaime, and Stephen LaFalce and his wife Daniela; two grandchildren, Gianna LaFalce, and Alexa LaFalce; four siblings, Billy LaFalce, Bobby LaFalce, Johna Karpinski, and Nicole Knochel.Family and Friends are invited to gather for a Viewing on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Service, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Jack's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital online at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html or by mail at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
