Jemina Dungca passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at her home in Toms River. She was 78. Born in Nueva Ecija, Philippines, she emigrated to the United States 47 years ago. She resided in Union City and Elizabeth before settling in Toms River in 1998.
Prior to retiring, she worked as a electronics assembler for QEI Electronics Company in Springfield, NJ. The daughter of a minister, she was a dedicated servant to God as a Deaconess. Jemina was very religious, and a member of Iglesia ni Cristo. She was a selfless soul who constantly put others before herself. Her cherished family will always carry her memory with them.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Consuelo Marfino in September 2014 and is survived by her three loving children: Cynthia Montallana Abutog and her husband Red Abutog, Sylani Bonifacio and her husband Marlon Bonifacio, and Fernan Dungca and his wife Marianne Dungca; six grandchildren: Roniel and his wife Melissa, Roxanne Jade and her husband Jun, Rochelle Yvonne and her husband Charlie, Jemin Abygail and her husband Joseph, Jeffrey, and Penelope; and two great-grandchildren: Paxton and Raiden.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 5-9PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12 at 10AM. Interment will immediately follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
