It has taken me a while to write ,
so I could process,and feel this sad loss . Then it came to me as I was listening to all of the wonderful stories and memories of Irma . The thread through each story was love ,and it showed during her long life.That thread of love is woven in and throughout all our hearts. We are all comforted by that love she gave to all of us .
I will miss her too, but I know it's her turn to make the coffee (inside  story) . With love & fond memories . Diana & John

EULOGY: Irma Brady

Mom was called “Billie” by her family and friends, and “Mimi” by her four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  To Diane, Elizabeth, Patricia, Kathleen and me she was, of course, Mom.

Our Mom and Dad, who we lost eight years ago, met on a blind date.  Their wedding song was “It can’t be wrong”.  After 67 years of marriage, we know they were right!

As you can all see from her photograph, she was a beautiful woman.  Many said she could be a model.  But we know that is exactly who she was.  A model mother, a model partner to our dad, and a model friend.  A model of humility who quietly put others before herself.   That was her true beauty, and we were all blessed to have her in our lives. 

Mom never wanted much for herself and was always grateful even for the smallest kindness.  We would bring her some eclairs or other treats from the bakery and response was invariably and sincerely “WOW”!

Her greatest joy was her family to which she was devoted.  Especially to our youngest sister, Kathleen, who has special needs.  Fortunately, she had a special mother and father, who cared for her well into their 70s until they found a wonderful group residence in Toms River through The Arc of Ocean County.  

Our Mom was a person of quiet strength.  It amazed us how she would always bounce back from her medical setbacks.  And, her doctors, too!

Mom was also a person of faith.  She always kept her statue of Mary with Angel by her bedside.  When she was still able to attend Mass here at St. Joseph’s, she would visit her favorite statue of Mary in the back of the church, say a prayer and light a candle.

Mom’s final years were comfortable and her passing was peaceful, thanks to the loving care provided by my sisters and our wonderful caregivers.   Being able to remain at home was a blessing.

Thank you, Mom, for everything. We miss you very much.  As they say in Latvian, “Es Meal Tau” “We love you”

My Mother was a beautiful lady, inside and out, she was always so loving and kind.  

We were all so very blessed to call you our Mom.  It is never easy saying goodbye to someone you love, however, knowing you are now with Dad and our Heavenly Family is truly a gift.  

Sending much love and a warm hug, today and every day, to you and Dad.  It’s almost Christmas, so it’s that time of year to go out, dancing, with your friends and family and have some fun!

I remember my "Aunt Billie" as a serene beauty, rarely disturbed by anything around her.  She was a true gentle woman.  Her family is so blessed to have had her for so long.  Regardless, I extend sympathy for the loss because it is always painful to lose a loved one, especially mom.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family as they go through this trying time.

Sincere condolences to the family ,Irma was  a beautiful soul inside and out . I had the pleasure of meeting Irma through Elizabeth another angel not only a great neighbor also my second family  . When I would visit Irma always had a beautiful smile that made my day . Whenever I have tiramisu I will remember how much you enjoyed me dropping some off for you   Rest In Peace God Bless the Family 🙏🙏🙏

Mrs. Brady always had a smile on her face  each time I  would visit with my wife, her daughter Diane. She always made me feel so welcome. She extended that welcome to everyone she met. She was a young 97 years old and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Mom will be missed by those who were lucky enough to know her. Rest-in-Peace, Mom
