Helen S Donato

Born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Walter and Stella Skurka, Helen moved to Sayreville, New Jersey where she lived most of her life. She later settled in Berkeley Township in 1984.

Prior to retiring in 1979, Helen was a scheduling clerk for EI Dupont Photo Products in Parlin, New Jersey for 36 years. Aside from work, she was a part of the Dupont 10 and 25 year club while also being a member of the H.C.W Women's Club. After moving to Toms River, she became a parishioner of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. Helen enjoyed going to Atlantic City, playing rummy cube, and reading, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

Helen is predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony, and her brothers, Stanley Skurka and Edward Skurka.

She is survived by her step children, James Donato and his wife Judy and Alfred Donato of Wisconsin; her nieces, Beverly Ogden and Christine Letlow and her husband Joseph; her grandnephew Stephen Ogden and grandniece Danielle Maiorana and her husband Philip; and two great-grandnieces, Christine and Hazel.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 9:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church,

130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, New Jersey 08757.

The burial of ashes is private.
