Gloria M. Messina, 87, of Manchester Twp., NJ passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Gloria had lived in Mill Basin and Toms River before moving to Manchester a year ago. Gloria was a Secretary for 10 years with Volckening Inc, Brooklyn, NY until her retirement in 1991.
Gloria enjoyed bowling, sewing, dancing, crafting, needlecraft, playing cards and baking. She overcame many struggles in her life and was a very strong woman. She was very loved by all who knew her.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband Philp in 2019 and her daughter Gloria Crimaldi and is survived by her three daughters, Ida Hammell , Rosemarie Martin , Donna Taylor and her husband John, her sister Arlene Duffy, and her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A Mass will be said Friday, April 22, 2022 12:00 pm at St. Maximillian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River with inurnment to follow to Ocean County Memorial Park.
