Frances T. Bonanno, 84, of Toms River passed away at her home on Monday, June 14, 2010. Born on February 20, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to Salvatore and Josephine Corrente, she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Toms River in 1995.
Mrs. Bonanno was a secretary in the office of New York City Governor Lindsay for ten years.
Mrs. Bonanno was predeceased by her grandson, Victor Bonanno. She is survived by her husband, Victor D. Bonanno of Toms River, her son, Leon M. Bonanno and his wife Shelly of Florida and her brother, Carmine Corrente of Queens, NY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30am at the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Toms River. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum in Toms River. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
