Edward Lawrence Warshaw, 78, of Waretown, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2018 at Atlantic Coast Rehab in Lakewood. He was born in the Bronx, NY, to Max and Rose Warshaw. Edward was Director of Social Service for the City of New York until his retirement. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed fishing. He also loved his collection of trains, Hess trucks and matchbox cars. Edward was a warm, loving person and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Edward was predeceased by his first wife Sondra Warshaw. He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty years, Roberta Seidman Warshaw; his daughter Jennifer Wolpert of Marietta, GA; his son Andrew Warshaw of Lansing, MI; his three grandchildren: Scott, Ryan, and Ross Wolpert; his brother Arthur Warshaw of NY; his step-children: Rayna D’Aniello and husband Jerry of Forked River, and Adam Heller of Hardwick, VT; and two step-grandsons: Jerry and Michael D’Aniello.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20th, at 10 AM, at Temple Beth Or, 200 Van Zile Road, Brick, NJ 08724. Burial will follow at B’nai Israel Cemetery, Toms River, NJ. Shiva will be observed at the Warshaw residence, Wednesday 6/20, Thursday 6/21, Friday 6/22, and Sunday 6/24.
