Edward James Simone, 59, of Toms River passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, after his courageous battle with cancer. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Edward grew up in Linden and then lived with his family in Brick Township before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. They began their journey by playing Carnegie Hall and continued to play in bands together for many years, including the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, the Atlantic Wind Ensemble, Ocean Grove Summer Band, and the Greater Shore Concert Band. Together, they had three daughters and one granddaughter. Edward was dedicated to his family, never missing a single dance recital, school play, or graduation. The love and devotion he had for his family was a driving force in his life and was apparent to all who knew him.
