Born in MolFetta, Italy, he resided in Hoboken, NJ where he lived most of his life before settling in Toms Rivers, NJ for the last 17 years.
Prior to retiring, he was a Hi-Lo Operator in a Warehouse located in Leonia, NJ. Dominick enjoyed fishing, crabbing, spending time at the ocean, and watching the Yankees & Giants games, but most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was loved by all that knew him. Dominick will be greatly missed by all his family.
Predeceased by his loving wife Joan of 67 years in 2019; His parents Corrado and Anna; His older brother Maurice; His granddaughter Dana Marie and his son-in-law Kenneth Heaney.
Surviving are his three children JoAnn Heaney, Mary Frawley and her husband Thomas, and Dominick DeGennaro Jr and his wife Wendy; His sister Rose Arndt and her husband Robert; His brothers Peter DeGennaro and John DeGennaro and his wife Regina; His five Grandchildren Kristin, Thomas, Brandon, Victoria, and Adriana; His three great-grandchildren Kenneth, Scarlett, and Jameson, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, New Jersey 08755.
Cremation is private.
